If you send us an enquiry
When you use the form on this site we receive your restaurant name, your email address and your phone number. We use them only to reply to you and to arrange a visit. We do not use them for anything else and we do not sell them.
The form is delivered to our email inbox. To stop abuse, the form server briefly keeps the time of recent submissions together with the sender's network address, only to limit how often one address can submit. It is not a separate database of enquiries.
Legal basis: taking steps at your request before a visit (and our legitimate interest in answering a business enquiry).
If you message us on WhatsApp
The WhatsApp buttons open WhatsApp on your device. Your conversation then takes place in WhatsApp and is covered by WhatsApp's own privacy policy. We see your number and the messages you send us.
Cookies and similar technologies
This website does not set cookies of its own and does not use advertising cookies.
It uses Google Analytics 4 to count visits. Google Analytics is set to "denied" by default, with ad personalisation and Google signals switched off, so it does not store analytics cookies on your device. In that mode the page can still send Google a basic visit signal that includes the page address, your browser type and an identifier that cannot be read by us. We do not collect your name, your email or what you type in the form through it.
The hosting provider (Cloudflare) may set a security cookie to protect the site against abuse.
If you receive an email from us
What we collect: business contact details (name, email, restaurant name) that you or your business have made publicly available. We use them only to introduce the AI Menu service.
Why: our legitimate business interest in offering the service to restaurants (business to business), not for any other purpose. We do not sell or share these details with third parties.
Every email says why you received it and has an unsubscribe link. You can unsubscribe at any time with that link or by writing to [email protected]. We honour unsubscribe requests immediately and keep a suppression list so we do not contact you again.
Retention: contact details are kept only as long as needed for this outreach and are deleted on request.
What your restaurant's guests see
The sample menu on this site is a demonstration. It does not collect anything from visitors of this site. When AI Menu runs for a restaurant, the restaurant decides what its menu says. Allergen, vegan and wine answers given by the assistant are AI estimates that the restaurant confirms. Guests with an allergy must always ask the restaurant's team.
Who else can see your details
Our email and web hosting providers process the details on our behalf. We do not share your details with anyone else for their own use.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your details, to correct them, to delete them, or to stop using them. Write to [email protected]. You can also complain to the Information and Data Protection Commissioner in Malta (idpc.org.mt).
